Doing Research? Try these links!

While the most popular search engines really help us while doing research, there are times that we get to encounter web sites that are not too kid friendly. So I suggest that we make use of the following free Internet encyclopedias that have already categorized and organized various resources that can be found on the Internet:

1. The Internet Public Library

2. Librarians' Internet Index

3. Infomine (scholarly resources)

4. Awesome Library

5. Wikipedia (generally good except maybe for information on controversial issues and personalities)

6. Citizendium (very much like Wikipedia but the articles posted here are reviewed by experts)

7. Wikipilipinas (has similarities with Wikipedia, Philippine version!)

Happy researching!

Wow! Thank you very much for sharing. And many thanks as well for dropping by my site.

It's truly admirable what you guys are doing, connecting our public schools online, that is. When I was a senior systems engineer, I always thought of how wonderful it would be if our entire public school system in the Philippines is interconnected to facilitate access to valuable information.

Cheers!
