GILAS arrived in Bataan, the "cradle of heroes". Bataan became popular during the second World War, where Filipino and American soldiers who lost their battle with the Japanese forces in Bataan, had to go through a Death March from the town of Mariveles in Bataan to the town of Capas in Tarlac. GILAS was made possible in Bataan through the support of Ayala Land, a premiere real estate developer in the Philippines.
The DepEd division of Bataan even created a website about the training that was conducted by GILAS. Check it out here.
